Ms. Val Mickish

Humanities Teacher

Ms. Mickish grew up in Boulder, Colorado and Stone Mountain, Georgia. She attended Yale University for her undergraduate degree and majored in English, Theater Studies, and Education. After her graduation, she moved to Los Angles and began her teaching career in 1978 at the Brentwood School. After moving back to Georgia after the Northridge Earthquake, she has worked at Creekland, Richards, and Duluth Middle Schools. She shares her life with her husband, mother, two children who live in New York City, and her granddaughter. She enjoys reading and gardening and writes for Georgia Center for Assessment during her free time.
